In order to support its development and strengthen its team, our Client is looking for a talented, driven, business-oriented finance professional for the position of Accounting and Tax Manager. Reporting to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of all accounting and tax issues.
- Manage, coach and develop a large accounting team
- Drive the process of internal processes and procedures improvement
- Play a key role in the development of financial awareness among non-financial staff
- Plan and optimize taxes within the Group
- Ensure monthly closing processes are performed with high quality within deadlines
- Manage periodic reporting activities according to Polish GAAP and Group standards
- Coordinate legal, statutory documentation, taxes and obligations with external parties
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Ensure high efficiency of credit control activities
- Relevant University Degree in Finance or Accounting
- At least 8 years relevant professional experience in accounting, experience in audit firms and industrial environment will be an asset
- Proven experience in managing and developing large teams
- Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Hands-on approach, ability to challenge the status-quo and drive change
- Excellent technical accounting (Polish GAAP and IFRS) and tax skills
- Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP-class systems , good knowledge of Excel
- Fluency in English and Polish
- Willing to travel frequently (approximately 60%)
